Kindergarten Social Worker Service
Hello! This is Ms. LAU Ka Mun, Carman, the social worker coming from Nurturing Seeds Kindergarten Social Work Service of Hong Kong Family Welfare Society. Through rendering preventive, educational and developmental services to children and their families in kindergarten, our project aims at cultivating healthy development of emotions and social relationships of children; providing emotional support and parenting education to parents, enhancing parent-child relationships and promoting harmony in families as well as building up a supportive network for the growth of children.
Children and parents are facing different challenges when the children enter the stage of kindergarten. Our service will conduct educational activities for children, supportive activities for parents, parent-child activities for families, counselling and referral services will be provided to families in needs to facilitate the positive development of children under a caring environment. In this school year, I will station at school every Tuesday and Thursday at 8:30am to 5:00pm, I hope that I will have the opportunity to join hand with parents to establish a positive and healthy environment for children.
